Training is a great way to learn skills that can get you a good job—especially training that focuses on practical skills that get you ready for work.

For the best chance of getting a job when you’ve finished training, study in an area that’s in high demand or has skill shortages. Right now, you might consider doing training in areas like health and caring, construction, technology, hospitality and tourism, or education and childcare.

A good way to see which courses will lead to in-demand jobs is to see what’s funded by the Queensland Government. The government pays for eligible Queenslanders to do training in areas that need more workers.

On this website you can search for free or reduced-cost training.
